4. Availability of an opportunity to receive offers from clients.
5. As a Freelancer you can customize your profile on two areas. For example, Technical Writing and Digital Marketing.
6. Availability of many choices to choose from i.e Hourly and Fixed Payment or Short-term and Long-term jobs.
7. Upwork Escrow allows you to ensure secure payment for work done.
8. Convenience – Every time you get a job offer or your proposal is accepted you receive an email. This helps you responded promptly.
9. Recommended for both beginners and experts.

Cons of Upwork

1. High rates – You will have to pay a fee of atmost 20% for every job you are successfully paid.
2. It takes time to get the first job.
3. You will need to pay for connects once you finish the free connects.
4. Some clients offer low offers/ pay to compensate for your services.
5. Any communication with clients outside the platform can lead to your account being suspended.

Final Verdict

Upwork is a great marketplace to get clients. Despite the few disadvantages the site offers great efficiency for freelancers to get jobs. From the above Pros, I can comfortably say that working on Upwork is worth your time. But be sure to consider your skills and needs.
